Charlottesville and Central Virginia I’ve always been fascinated by people, especially how they sound and speak, so observing and interpreting is my favorite part of my work as an actor, coach and teacher. I teach voice & speech, acting, and public speaking in The University of Virginia's Department of Drama. Previously, I taught at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the New Studio on Broadway (NSB) and Mary Baldwin University's Shakespeare in Performance MFA program. Other teaching and coaching highlights include four seasons at Virginia Theatre Festival, American Conservatory Theater, 59E59, Epic Theatre Ensemble, Governor's School of North Carolina, Parenthesis Theater Company, Occam Rep, and the Summer Theater of New Canaan. I have an MFA in acting from American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco and a BFA from UC Santa Barbara. I’m a member of Actors Equity (AEA) and Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA). I grew up in Oklahoma and New Mexico, and now live in Charlottesville, Virginia with my husband and our two kids. I’m into mindful movement, crossword puzzles, hiking, live music, and I bake a killer banana bread (even pre-pandemic!).
